Publish a marker
Drop a page screenshot, attach the content, hit publish. It appears in the Viewer once recognition rebuilds.
Marker rules — read before you print
Marker image
- Busy & asymmetric — lots of high-contrast text, charts, photos, texture. Avoid large empty or plain-colour areas.
- Each marker must look distinct from every other published marker.
- Sharp, straight, front-on capture — not blurry, skewed, or rotated.
- Upload the exact printed crop, roughly 512–1024px on the long side.
Printing & scanning
- Matte paper, even lighting, no glare — glossy prints reflect and break tracking.
- Keep the page flat and fill the camera frame from ~20–40cm away.
Content
- MP4, H.264 + AAC only — avoid .mov, .webm, or HEVC/H.265 (fail silently on some phones).
- Vertical 9:16, compressed to roughly ≤15–20MB. Smaller triggers near-instantly.
- iOS blocks autoplay-with-sound — expect a tap-to-unmute.
- Hologram / link content must be HTTPS and self-contained.
